Job Description

As an Account Manager, you are responsible for actively developing new commercial opportunities and expanding our customer portfolio.
You work closely with operations, planning and customer service to offer customers the best possible logistics solution.
Your role is highly results-driven, with clear KPIs for prospecting, customer visits, revenue growth and margin development.

Responsabilities
- Business development

Business development
• Actively prospecting and identifying new customers within the transport and logistics market
• Building a strong pipeline of potential customers
• Drafting and negotiating commercial proposals and contracts
• Building long-term relationships with customers


Account management
• Maintaining and further developing existing customers
• Detecting new opportunities with existing customers
• Regular customer visits and monitoring customer satisfaction


Commercial reporting
• Using and monitoring CRM for pipeline management and reporting
• Reporting on commercial activities, prospecting and results
• Monitoring KPIs such as:
o visit frequency
o prospecting
o turnover growth
o margin development


Internal collaboration
• Collaborating with operations and planning to offer feasible and competitive solutions
• Consulting with pricing and management on commercial strategy

Profile

We are looking for an experienced sales professional with a strong commercial drive.


Experience
• At least 5 years of experience in a field sales position
• Experience in transport or logistics is highly recommended
• Experience with CRM and commercial reporting


Competencies
• Strong commercial insight and negotiation skills
• Results- and performance-driven
• Proactive hunter mentality
• Strong in relationship management and network building
• Able to work independently with clear objectives


Additional assets
• An existing customer portfolio or network within the sector
• Experience with international transport solutions
